What are the system requirements for Mini-Tools .NET components?

  • Requires Microsoft Windows XP, ME, 2000, 98 SE, and NT 4.0.  We recommend Windows XP to take full advantage of all component features.
  • Requires the Microsoft .NET framework version 1.1 or greater, which comes standard on Windows XP and all Tablet PCs.  Microsoft .NET is available as part of your regular Windows Update or as a free download from Microsoft.
  • Requires a development environment such as Microsoft Visual Studio .NET that runs on Microsoft Windows and can be used to develop .NET software.  Only C# and Visual Basic .NET programming languages are explicitly supported.
  • We recommend Pentium 2.0GHz or better with 512MB RAM and 20MB available hard disk space.
  • Microsoft .NET requires  Internet Explorer 5.01 or greater and additional hard disk space. 
  • Web browsing and email features in some Mini-Tools components require an Internet connection, web browser and email program.

What is Microsoft .NET and why do I need it?

Microsoft .NET (pronounced "dot net") is a freely-distributable programming framework from Microsoft that provides a number of features and advantages over the basic Windows operating system. Which versions of .NET are supported by Mini-Tools .NET components?

What development environments are supported by Mini-Tools .NET components?

Mini-Tools .NET components explicitly support Microsoft Visual Studio .NET versions 2005 and 2003.

There is nothing to unlock. Mini-Tools .NET components are available on the web without nag screens or time bombs and are FREE for non-commercial use.

What is the refund policy?

Developer Licenses for Mini-Tools .NET Components have a 30-day money-back guarantee. All Mini-Tools Source Code sales (Blueprint and Enterprise Licenses) are final.

How do I get product updates?

Does the Mini-Tools license allow me to use a component on multiple computers?

Yes. Each developer with a valid Mini-Tools component license may test and make copies of the binary component on more than one computer, as long as the use of the component is by the same developer. Please check out our Licensing page for more information.

Does the Mini-Tools license allow other developers to use the component?

You must purchase one developer license for every developer who uses each Mini-Tools component. You may purchase an enterprise license so that all developers in your company can use the Mini-Tools component. Please check out our Licensing page for more information.
