What is the License Agreement?

Before you can install and use a Mini-Tools component, you must read and accept the Mini-Tools Component License Agreement.

The Software License Agreement ("SLA") is a legal agreement between you (either an individual or entity) and Mini-Tools LLC, for the use of the Mini-Tools software, associated media and printed materials, and may include online or electronic documentation (the "SOFTWARE").  The SLA covers the evaluation, authorized use, and distribution of the SOFTWARE. 

License Agreement Summary

Following is a summary of the license agreement terms and does not constitute all terms nor terms in their entirety.  Please be sure to read the entire license agreement.

  • If you use the SOFTWARE in a commercial application or business setting, you must purchase a valid license.
  • If you purchase a license, you may distribute the Mini-Tools component in binary form with your commercial or business application to your customers ROYALTY-FREE.
  • You may include the Mini-Tools component in binary form for FREE with non-commercial applications.
  • You may evaluate the SOFTWARE for free in a test environment for as long as needed.
  • You must purchase one developer license for every developer who uses the SOFTWARE.
  • You may purchase an enterprise license so that all developers in your company can use the SOFTWARE. 
  • Each developer with a valid license may test and make copies of the SOFTWARE on more than one computer, so long as the use of the SOFTWARE is by the same developer.
  • License is fully transferable within a company, not to exceed two transfers per license per year.
  • You cannot share your license or the Mini-Tools source code with other developers or companies. You should take all steps necessary to protect the source code from distribution.
  • You cannot decompile, disassemble, or reverse-engineer the SOFTWARE.

License Options

Each Mini-Tools component has four licensing options:

Non-Commercial License
License to include the component in binary form with a non-commercial application, i.e., you do not charge money for the application nor use it in a business. Examples include freeware, open-source applications, personal or school projects. Does not include customer support or source code. Free of charge. (more)
Developer License
License for one person (Developer) to use the Mini-Tools component on one or more computers.  Developer may distribute the Mini-Tools component in binary form royalty-free with Developer's applications.  Developer License includes one year Support Subscription for the Developer. License is fully transferable within a company, not to exceed two transfers per year.  Does not include source code.
Blueprint License
Developer License plus original source code.   Blueprint License includes one year Support Subscription with all source code updates.  Source code cannot be shared or distributed.  Source code sale subject to approval and requires valid email address from a non-public domain (e.g., no Hotmail, AOL, GMail, etc.) that hosts a public web site listing a physical address that can be publicly validated.  Source code is delivered via email in 1-2 business days.
Enterprise License
Blueprint License for one Company at a single physical address to use the Mini-Tools component on one or more computers.  Company may distribute the component in binary form royalty-free with the Company's applications.  Enterprise License includes one year Support Subscription for the Company.
